Artist talk: Sam Durant + Bojana Piškur
Naar aanleiding van zijn solotentoonstelling Proposal for Non-Aligned Monuments, Free Movement spreekt Sam Durant met Bojana Piškur, auteur en curator voor het Museum voor Moderne Kunst in Ljubljana.
Bojana Piškur werkt als curator in de Moderna galerija / Museum voor Moderne Kunst in Ljubljana. Haar professionele belangstelling gaat uit naar politieke kwesties die verband houden met of tot uiting komen in het domein van de kunst, met speciale nadruk op de regio van (voormalig) Joegoslavië. Haar recentste tentoonstelling over het onderwerp van de Beweging van Niet-Gebonden Landen was Southern Constellations: The Poetics of the Non-Aligned, Moderna galerija Ljubljana, 2019 en Asia Culture Center, Gwangju, Zuid-Korea, 2020.

Bojana Piškur travaille comme conservatrice à la Moderna galerija / Musée d'art moderne de Ljubljana. Ses recherches portent sur les questions politiques et la manière dont elles sont liées au domaine de l'art ou s'y manifestent, en particulier dans les régions de l'ex-Yougoslavie. Son exposition la plus récente, consacrée au mouvement des non-alignés, s'intitulait Southern Constellations : The Poetics of the Non-Aligned, Moderna galerija Ljubljana, 2019 et Asia Culture Center, Gwangju, Corée du Sud, 2020.

On the occasion of Sam Durant's solo exhibition Proposal for Non-Aligned Monuments, Free Movement at Cc Strombeek, we are happy to invite you to a live online conversation between the artist and Bojana Piškur, writer and curator at the Museum of Modern Art, Ljubljana.
Bojana Piškur works as a curator in the Moderna galerija / Museum of Modern Art in Ljubljana. Her research focuses on political issues and the way in which they relate to, or are manifested in, the field of art, looking specifically at the regions of former Yugoslavia. Her most recent exhibition dealing with the Non-Aligned Movement was Southern Constellations: The Poetics of the Non-Aligned, Moderna galerija Ljubljana, 2019 and Asia Culture Center, Gwangju, South Korea, 2020.
The conversation will be broadcast live on Wednesday 5 May at 7 pm. If you are registered, you will receive a link the day before the lecture with which you can follow the lecture online.
