Ad Hoc
Ad Hoc is een performance programma dat door onverwachte omstandigheden is ontstaan en daardoor een andere, meer directe relatie met de actualiteit aangaat. Op een moment waarin politieke spanningen steeds nadrukkelijker doorwerken in ons dagelijks leven, zoeken deze kunstenaars naar manieren om die realiteit lichamelijk te benaderen. Ad Hoc verwijst tegelijkertijd naar het tijdelijke, flexibele en contextgebonden karakter van de performances die bewust de traditionele tentoonstellingsruimte verlaten om in verschillende situaties, ontmoeting, confrontatie en reflectie te creëren.
Ad Hoc is a performance programme that arose out of unexpected circumstances and, as a result, establishes a different, more direct relationship with current events. At a time when political tensions are having an increasingly pronounced impact on our daily lives, these artists are seeking ways to engage with that reality physically. Ad Hoc also refers to the temporary, flexible and context-dependent nature of the performances, which deliberately move away from the traditional exhibition space to create encounters, confrontations and moments of reflection in a variety of situations.
