De Zweedse landschapsarchitect Anna Chavepayre gebruikt het motto ‘We are the landscape’ om ons eraan te herinneren dat het landschap geen object is dat losstaat van ons lichaam. Het landschap is niet louter iets om naar te kijken. Het is nauw met ons verbonden en we beïnvloeden elkaar wederzijds. Geïnspireerd door Chavepayre onderschrijven zij het idee dat bepaalde wijken van een stad fungeren als de coulissen van een theater. Deze hypothese heeft geleid tot de voorlopige titel "A city behind the scenes”. Het collectief zal op informele wijze een tussenresultaat presenteren, met Jolien Naeyaert (architecte en dichteres) en Dorian Chavez (danser).

Pierre-Philippe Hofmann is beeldend kunstenaar; het landschap is zijn atelier. Aan de hand van protocollen verkent hij het, bewerkt hij het, observeert hij het en probeert hij specifieke artistieke installaties te creëren om zijn ervaringen weer te geven. Voor dit project werkte hij vanaf het begin samen met geluidskunstenaar Stijn Demeulenaere om een reeks field recordings te maken. Andere deelnemers vormen deze tijdelijke samenwerking, met name architect, dichteres en danseres Jolien Naeyert en performer en danser Dorian Chavez.

L’architecte paysagiste suédoise Anna Chavepayre utilise le leitmotiv « We are the landscape » pour nous rappeler que le paysage n’est pas un objet dissocié de notre corps. Le paysage n’est pas simplement quelque chose à regarder. Il est intimement lié à nous et nous nous façonnons mutuellement. Inspirée par Chavepayre, nous soutenons l’idée que certains quartiers d’une ville fonctionnent comme les coulisses d’un théâtre. Cette hypothèse a donné naissance au titre provisoire « A city behind the scenes ». Le collectif présentera une étape de travail, de façon informelle avec Jolien Naeyaert (architecte et poétesse) et Dorian Chavez (danseur).

Pierre-Philippe Hofmann est plasticien; son atelier, c'est le paysage. Par le biais de protocoles, il l'arpente, le pratique, l'observe et tente de créer des dispositifs artistiques spécifiques pour traduire ses expériences. Pour ce projet, il s'est d'emblée associé au sound artist Stijn Demeulenaere pour réaliser un ensemble de field recordings. D'autres intervenants forment cette association momentanée, notamment l'architecte, poétesse et danseuse Jolien Naeyert et le performeur et danseur Dorian Chavez.

Swedish landscape architect Anna Chavepayre uses the leitmotif “We are the landscape” to remind us that the landscape is not something separate from our bodies. The landscape is not simply something to look at. It is intimately connected to us, and we shape one another. Inspired by Chavepayre, they support the idea that certain neighborhoods in a city function like the backstage of a theater. This hypothesis gave rise to the working title “A City Behind the Scenes.” The collective will present a work-in-progress, in an informal setting, with Jolien Naeyaert (architect and poet) and Dorian Chavez (dancer).

Pierre-Philippe Hofmann is a visual artist; the landscape is his studio. Through a series of protocols, he explores it, engages with it, observes it and attempts to create specific artistic installations to convey his experiences. For this project, he teamed up from the outset with sound artist Stijn Demeulenaere to produce a series of field recordings. Other contributors make up this temporary collaboration, notably the architect, poet and dancer Jolien Naeyert and the performer and dancer Dorian Chavez.
