Imane Guemssy (woont en werkt in Brussel) is een jonge gnaoua-artieste uit Casablanca en de eerste vrouw in Marokko die het initiatief heeft genomen om dit muziekgenre te beoefenen, dat uitsluitend voorbehouden was aan mannen. Sinds haar komst naar Brussel is Imane een echte ambassadrice van de gnaoua-muziek in België en Europa geworden dankzij haar deelname aan verschillende samenwerkingen en muzikale projecten. Om deze eeuwenoude kunst voor een nieuw publiek toegankelijk te maken, verkent ze nieuwe horizonten van fusie, zoals gnaoua dub en gnaoua electro, terwijl ze het sacrale karakter van deze spirituele muziek behoudt.

Suheir Abdul Rasol is een veelzijdige multi-instrumentalist. Voornamelijk bekend als zangeres, pianist en gitarronspeelster. Ze is gevestigd in Antwerpen en geworteld in Babylon (Irak). Opgegroeid in een creatief milieu waar muziek, poëzie, beeldende kunst en theater centraal stonden, ontwikkelde zij al vroeg een sterke artistieke identiteit. Haar werk wordt gekenmerkt door het samensmelten van culturen en stijlen, gevoed door haar biculturele achtergrond en een uitgesproken affiniteit met Latijns-Amerikaanse muziek. Als percussionist brengt Suheir een expressieve sound, onder meer via congas en andere ritmische instrumenten, steeds in dialoog met zang en ensemblespel.
Naast haar klassieke opleiding piano en zang is zij actief in theaterproducties met Theater A-Z, speelt zij guitarrón bij verschillende mariachi-formaties en engageert zij zich artistiek in maatschappelijke projecten zoals 2026Women van Madam Fortuna. Suheir beweegt zich moeiteloos tussen concert, theater en interculturele performance, met ritme en stem als verbindende kracht.

Imane Guemssy (vit et travaille à Bruxelles) est une jeune artiste gnaoua originaire de Casablanca et la première femme au Maroc à avoir pris l’initiative de pratiquer ce genre musical, autrefois exclusivement réservé aux hommes. Depuis son arrivée à Bruxelles, Imane est devenue une véritable ambassadrice de la musique gnaoua en Belgique et en Europe grâce à sa participation à diverses collaborations et projets musicaux. Afin de rendre cet art séculaire accessible à un nouveau public, elle explore de nouveaux horizons de fusion, tels que le gnaoua dub et le gnaoua electro, tout en préservant le caractère sacré de cette musique spirituelle.

Suheir Abdul Rasol est une multi-instrumentiste polyvalente. Elle est principalement connue comme chanteuse, pianiste et guitariste. Elle est installée à Anvers et originaire de Babylone (Irak). Ayant grandi dans un environnement créatif où la musique, la poésie, les arts plastiques et le théâtre occupaient une place centrale, elle a développé très tôt une forte identité artistique. Son travail se caractérise par la fusion des cultures et des styles, nourrie par son héritage biculturel et une affinité marquée pour la musique latino-américaine. En tant que percussionniste, Suheir apporte un son expressif, notamment grâce aux congas et autres instruments rythmiques, toujours en dialogue avec le chant et le jeu d'ensemble.
Outre sa formation classique en piano et en chant, elle participe à des productions théâtrales avec Theater A-Z, joue du guitarrón dans différents groupes de mariachis et s'engage artistiquement dans des projets sociaux tels que 2026Women de Madam Fortuna. Suheir passe sans effort du concert au théâtre et à la performance interculturelle, avec le rythme et la voix comme force motrice.
