Openingsuren
In lijn met de methodiek van Performing Objects, die gebaseerd is op uitwisseling, verbinding en feedback, wordt er gelijktijdig met de expo een publiek programma georganiseerd. Eén zaterdag per maand activeren de leden hun werk aan de hand van performances, talks, lezingen of workshops. Het programma wordt ‘s avonds telkens ritueel afgesloten met een “Soup Conversation”: een publiek gespreksmoment met de kunstenaars waarbij bezoekers worden uitgenodigd deel te nemen met een kom zelfgemaakte soep.

KAAp-workshop in samenwerking met Gerda Debuck

Deze workshop is in het Nederlands.
Sinds 2019 werkt Kristof Van Gestel aan het participatieve kunstproject The Collective Collection. Hiervoor ontwikkelt hij — samen met talloze deelnemers die alledaagse voorwerpen kiezen, schenken, organiseren, waarderen, assembleren en (her)gebruiken — voortdurende strategieën, technieken en metaforen voor het produceren van betekenis. Ter gelegenheid van deze tentoonstelling organiseert de kunstenaar een KAAp-workshop voor kinderen van 6-12 jaar.
14:00 - 16:00: Rune Peitersen, RAABJERG
presentatie/gesprek met de kunstenaar
Een presentatie van het project RAABJERG (2022) en het bijbehorende boek van Rune Peitersen. Daarna volgt een open gesprek tussen Rune Peitersen (kunstenaar) en Edwin van Gelder (ontwerper) over het boek als object en hoe de vertaling van RAABJERG van film naar boek tot stand is gekomen.

gesprek met de kunstenares
Gesprek met kunstenares Pauline M'barek over Leaky Things, 2022, een nieuwe installatie gemaakt voor deze tentoonstelling die zich richt op de doorlaatbaarheid van het lichaam, dat zowel onderwerp als object van het onderzoek is.

Engaging Object: Impact van collectieve praktijk

Performing Objects nodigt het publiek uit om een kom zelfgemaakte soep te delen en samen met de leden deel te nemen aan een collectief gesprek. Het onderwerp is de impact van het deel uitmaken van het collectief Performing Objects op de persoonlijke praktijken/levens van de leden, de impact van collectieve kunstprojecten in het algemeen, en een terugblik op het project in Cc Strombeek.
In line with their methodology based on exchange, connection and feedback, a public programme is organised concurrently. One Saturday a month, members activate their work through performances, talks, lectures or workshops. Each evening, the programme is ritually concluded with a "Soup Conversation": a public conversation moment with the artists where visitors are invited to participate with a bowl of homemade soup.

This workshop takes place in Dutch.
Kristof Van Gestel has been working on the participatory art project The Collective Collection since 2019. For this he develops - together with countless participants who choose, donate, organise, value, assemble and (re)use everyday objects - ongoing strategies, techniques and metaphors for producing meaning. On the occasion of this exhibition, the artist organises a KAAp-workshop for children aged 6-12 years.
14:00 - 16:00: Rune Peitersen, RAABJERG
presentation/artist talk
A presentation of the project RAABJERG (2022) and the accompanying book of Rune Peitersen. This will be followed by an open talk between Rune Peitersen (artist) and Edwin van Gelder (designer) on the book as an object and how the translation of RAABJERG from film to book came about.

artist talk
Artist’s talk in which artist Pauline M’barek discusses Leaky Things, 2022, a new installation created for this exhibition which focuses on the permeable nature of the body, being both subject and object of the inquiry.

Performing Objects invites the audience to share a bowl of home-made soup and to take part in a collective conversation together with the members. The topic will be the impact of being part of the collective Performing Objects on the personal practices/lives of the members, the impact of collective art projects in general, and looking back on the project in Cc Strombeek.
