Wilted Woman (DE)

Wilted Woman kasiazacharko low

As Wilted Woman, Berlin centrepiece Lizzy Davis (AKA DJ Puddle) has performed worldwide, from cool festivals and hipster clubs to parking lots, empty buildings and basement venues. And now also at Wunderkammer. Her music has been described as friendly industrial, derangement synth, stunning compositions and “music made to realign and confuse body and mind” – ever interesting and engaging, unpredictable, playful land intriguing.

With: Lizzy Davis - electronics, synth

Ann Eysermans (BE)

Enchanting solo improvisation on harp by composer, musician and patented train lover Ann Eysermans (FENNA, Fnussjen, ChampdAction, …) somewhere between a twisted parallel universe version of minimalistic proto-blues, trance, contemporary music and intriguing sound worlds; loud and wild, restrained and beautiful, suspending time – and absolutely fascinating.

With: Ann Eysermans - harp

Csaba Palotai (HU) + Steve Argüelles (UK) - Cabane Perchée

Acoustic proto-grooves and dream-island music with Bartok’s Microkosmos and also some pieces by Moondog as core by Hungarian guitar wizard Csaba Palotai and British master-percussionist Steve Arguelles. Inviting, invigorating and truly magical.

With: Csaba Palotai - guitar | Steve Argüelles - percussion

Laura Agnusdei (IT)

LAURA AGNUSDEI (IT) is a fascinating electro-acoustic composer and saxophone player from Bologna with a love of field recordings, improvisation and adventure. Centre of her compositions is the sax, surrounded by soundscapes full of texture – a combination of impro and song, of acoustic, digital and analogue sounds with which she creates an organic and breathing sonic world full of wonder.

With: Laura Agnusdei - electronics, synth, saxophone

Benoît Delbecq 3 + solo (FR)

Delbecq 3 Valérie Archeno

Benoît Delbecq is a multi-awarded Parisian pianist and composer, an absolutely unique musician with a fluid rhythmic and very layered musical language, a collector of contradictions – structure versus improvisation and freedom; jazz versus non-jazz; mathematics versus emotion. He builds a bridge between Ligeti and African Pygmee music, adding elements from Steve Lacy and Duke Ellington: the result is pure magic. At Wunderkammer, Delbecq will perform a few solo pieces from his acclaimed album the Weight of Light (2021, Pyroclastic) as well as a rare set with his Benoit Delbecq 3, sided by Miles Perkin on bass and Emile Biayendi on drums. Absolutely not to be missed!

With: Benoît Delbecq - piano, electronics | Miles Perkin - bas | Emile Biayendi - drums

L. Jacobs (BE)

L Jacobs low Nana Vaneessen

Lennert Jacobs (The Germans, MDCIII,…) presents his first solo album Enthusiasm (WERF/les ateliers claus). Using classical and modern instruments, guided by his own imagination and natural philosophy, instinctively and inquisitive he and his partners-in-crime (Geoffrey Burton, Sarah Yu Zeebroek & Noah Melis) investigate humanism and create a sublime musical experience.

Yi Zhang (CN)

Yi Zhang

Yi Zhang (1996, Wuhan) lives and works between Antwerp and Amsterdam. She recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. Although trained as a painter she currently focuses on in situ works and installations incorporating theme’s such intimacy, the domestic, the body, family relationships and privacy. On the occasion of Wunderkammer she will inhabit the fountain of Cc Strombeek with an installation.

Obi Okigbo (NG)

Obi Okigbo overview

Brussels-based Obi Okigbo (1964, Ibadan, Nigeria) defines her work as an autobiographical self-examination anchored in her multiple identity. She finds inspiration in all aspects of life – faith, behaviour, cultural and aesthetic values are among her rich frame of reference. The artist grew up surrounded by the poetic legacy of her father, the famous poet and intellectual Christopher Okigbo. CC Strombeek presents a selection from Okigbo's hidden universe: a selection of drawings with Indian ink, oil paintings and collages are shown. On the occasion of Wunderkammer, Obi will recite poems by her father.
