Dit jaar viert Cc Strombeek haar 50e verjaardag. Op 5 mei 1973 opende het cultuurcentrum officieel haar deuren. De instelling kent sindsdien een lange en bijzondere tentoonstellingsgeschiedenis. Zowel opkomend talent als gevestigde waarden uit binnen-en buitenland passeerden de revue: met projecten van onder meer Anouk De Clercq, Hans Op de Beeck, Koenraad Dedobbeleer, Daniel Buren, John Knight en meer recente presentaties van o.a. Rirkrit Tiravanija en Rachel Rose. Als toost op het verleden en met een blik op de toekomst, brengen we in mei een extra tentoonstelling. Meer informatie volgt binnenkort!

Cette année, le Cc Strombeek célèbre son 50e anniversaire. Le 5 mai 1973, le centre culturel a officiellement ouvert ses portes. Depuis lors, l'institution a connu une longue et remarquable histoire d'expositions. Tant des talents émergents que des artistes renommés à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur du pays sont passés la revue: avec des projets d'Anouk De Clercq, Hans Op de Beeck, Koenraad Dedobbeleer, Daniel Buren, John Knight et des présentations plus récentes de Rirkrit Tiravanija et Rachel Rose, entre autres. This year, Cc Strombeek celebrates its 50th anniversary. On May 5th 1973 the cultural centre officially opened its doors. Since then, the institution has had a long and distinguished exhibition history. Both emerging talent and established names from home and abroad have passed in review: with projects by Anouk De Clercq, Hans Op de Beeck, Koenraad Dedobbeleer, Daniel Buren, John Knight and more recent presentations by Rirkrit Tiravanija and Rachel Rose.
